Cape Town Airport is served by MyCiti Airport Bus Services.

MyCiti airport bus

MyCiti is a bus rapid transit system between the Airport and the city centre, concretely, the Civic Centre Bus Station located on Hertzog Boulevard in Cape Town.

Route

MyCiti Bus route #A01 covers the trip between CTP Airport and the Civic Center.

Schedule

Buses depart every 20 minutes approximately and runs daily from 05:00 am to 09:30 pm.

Total trip time is 30 minutes.

Location

MyCiti bus station in Cape Town Airport is located in the Transport Plaza.

It is easily accessible from both arrivals and departures hall, since it is located opposite the Central Terminal building.

Fares

The ticket cost is calculated according to distance. Despite the km/rate, there are several charges depending on the time of the day.

Where do I buy my ticket?

In order to use MyCiti, it is compulsory to use any of the myconnect cards (the most common costs R35), however there are also R60 and R100 cards.

On the other hand, you can also use single-trip cards, which aren’t refundable.

Myconnect cards can be purchased at MyCiti stations kiosk and at certain retail stores.

Shuttle services

From Cape Town Airport there are also various private shuttle companies that offers service and runs to other destinations.
